Is it only Mother’s Day special?

Can you imagine a world without mothers? Surely not. But why is it so? Why are we so afraid of mothers not being there? Is it because:

• We will have no one to take care of us?
• Or because who will unconditionally do all those chores for her?
• Or because no one else will love us like that and wipe our tears without expecting anything in return?

To be honest, all of it is true. We all are afraid of losing our mothers but still often really fail to show our gratitude or even a little appreciation for round the clock service she does for us. On the second Sunday in May, once again many countries across the globe would be celebrating Mother’s Day. But is she worth only a day? Of course, not.

Mothers are so special, adorable, caring and loving that we don’t even qualify to compete with her on those grounds or even if we thank her a hundred times every day, if would still be insufficient to appreciate her love.

In our daily schedules and naïve self-centric personality we often forget that what she does for her is not her responsibility or liability but it is the choice, she makes for us out of her love. Despite what we may go through, or how may behave, a mother's love can never cease to exist. So, for all the things that we have been taking for granted, Mother's Day is an opportunity to recognize our mothers for all the sacrifices and choices she made for our happiness and well-being.

In the process of growing up, how we thought she gets us chocolates by magic, that:

• how we always wanted to like her when we grow up
• how we admired her for her ability to know when she is needed
• Even how we imitated her role while playing with our dolls and kitchen-set toys.

So, cherish this mother’s day all the beautiful moments you had with her and make this day special like the way she made each one of yours.

It’s an opportunity to repay the hundred folds of love she gave you with at least a little gift from My Flower Tree.
